Advice
Flight
There are daily flights from Europe to Ecuador and the prices are
generally lower if the tickets are booked well in advance. Especially
in the summer months (July and August) cheap seats can be sold out
quickly so please take this into account when planning your trip.
Some airlines allow you to take up to 64kg of baggage while others
allow only 20kg and this can be an important consideration especially
for long stays (e.g. if you follow up your language course with
an internship).
Entry
British nationals do not need a visa for stays of less than 90
days. All that is needed is a passport, which is valid for 6 months
on departure from Ecuador. Make sure you check the validity of your
passport.
For stays over 90 days British nationals require a visa which can
be obtained from the Ecuadorian Embassy in London.
