Our students

Our students come from all over the world. Most book Spanish courses of about 3-8 weeks, but longer courses are of course available and popular too. Most students are between 18 and 38 years old, but we are always very happy to welcome all "mature" students!

My family was great! They treated me as part of the family and the food was good and varied. The tuition met my high expectations and I got to know a lot during the cultural programs (the museum visits and the explorations of Quito). I surely liked the classes and all the people were really nice. Everything was perfectly organised and I got great tips from the school and from other students about what to see and do in Ecuador. I especially enjoyed the trip to the Indian market in Saquisili, which we did with all students, and one teacher who gave us interesting explanations and a good insight into the Indian culture.

I chose Academia Kolumbus because a friend of mine, who had been there before, had told me very exciting things about his time in Quito. I had a great time and the 5 weeks passed away too quickly. The classes were great and we had a lot of fun with the teachers. There was a great atmosphere in the school and everybody had a good time. Before starting my trip to Ecuador I had some doubts whether a language course, especially in South America, would be the right thing for someone of my age. Now all my doubts seem ridiculous. The Academia organised everything very professionally and I didn't miss anything. The teachers were great and they adapted the classes to my slower learning speed.
